Top Customer Reviews

Format: Audio CD
Richard Barbieri has mostly worked within the confines of Japan, either with Steve Jansen, Sylvian, Karn, barring a few off side projects, and perhaps is a bit forgotten as the "4th Member", but this has all been blown away recently. Firstly the Magnificiant Indigo Falls album, and now Thing Buried.

I was amazed by how good this album really is, probably the best music of it's type I have heard, it elevates Barbieri to new heights. "Nevada" and the amazing "Flaw" are crafted so well. Everything about this Album is perfect, the writing, instruments, recording all come together to craft a cd which can only be ignored at your peril.

Simply Amazing, a must own, let's hope Richard makes more music, very soon.

This is only my 2nd review on Amazon, I love this album so much I couldn't resist adding to the reviews already on here.
I never really got into Japan, but Mick Karn is amongst my top 10 bass players, another of my top ten Percy Jones guests on 4 tracks.
This is a fantastic album, I've already listened to it 5 times on my first day of ownership.
There really isn't a weak track on the album.
And no, 5 stars isn't too many.

This is a really solid album from Richard Barbieri. Stand out tracks for me are 'Fear and Trembling' and the brilliant (no pun intended) 'Light on Glass' - but there are really no bad tracks here at all.
