5.0 out of 5 stars Help Them Understand 9 July 2014

Having known a few kids when I was growing up that were adopted I agree with what this book is saying. There is a lot of questions that an adopted child will want to know and some that you will not have answers for. I think anyone who has an adopted child and hasn't told them yet or are thinking of adopting should give this a read.

I have a close friend who doesn't have a husband but has an adopted child. The race of the child different from her so physical appearance differences are so very obvious. I started telling her to tell her child who he really is or it will be too late but my friend is still scared and don't know how to deal with her child's possible reaction. After reading this book, I realized this might just help her. I'm going to let her know about this book.

Adoption being common, many children are raised in it with many question. Be able to answer then by getting the wonderful knowledge from this book. The book explains, among other reasons, why the child was given up for adoption, a tricky question for many. I recommend reading this book if you don’t want to be put in a tight spot of being unable to give your child satisfactory answers.

Things Your Adopted Child Will Want To Know About Adoption is an awesome book. It is full of so much information, that is not only helpful but it makes sense. I bought this book for my sister who recently adopted a child and she really loved it. This is a great book to read if you have an adopted child in your home.

My parents adopted a child a while back and have not told her yet, I wanted to check out more information and came across this book. Glad I found it, I'm going to loan the book to my mother and have her read it also. I would recommend this book to anyone who is involved in an adoption at all.
