Works for me. 10 Feb 2007
Format:Paperback
I started the year wanting to lose a little weight as normal but knew doing the same old diet thing simply wasn't going to work - it hadn't for years so wasn't likely to in 2007 either. I found this book purely by coincidence on Lizzies website and liked what I saw. When it arrived I read it over a few days and never felt I was embarking on a diet. Lizzie made me question how and what I ate. I began to look at those around me and yes those slim people did eat differently.

I didn't leap into it as I would normally with a diet, it kind of crept into my head and I found myself asking if I wanted that choc chip muffin more than I wanted to be slim. I had fruit and water on my desk and ate smaller portions of whatever I fancied. I would normally have been obsessed by food at this stage.

I haven't lost lots of weight but feel like the pound a week is without even trying. I now need to start to exercise more and I know this along with Slim Secrets will help me be a slim person ever sooner.

Thanks Lizzie

Normally i am put off by diet books! However this was a fab read and extremely informative. This book is a not a "fad diet" book, but encourages a life style change to prevent yo-yo dieting. For me, this book gave me the confidence boost i needed to get started. I hate the word diet as it means you are resticted in what you can eat. This book doesn't do that - which is great!! Overall, loved the book, the concept and the result. Worked for me :)

I have lost a bit of weight recently and I bought this book just out of interest, however I wish I'd had it years ago. It looks at the decisions we make and why we might have put so much weight on in the first place (for example ignoring a little bit going on each year). I had already made the decision that I was going to `become a slim person' but this book confirms that you have to start believing that you can really do it to make it happen. It has made the process of losing weight much easier because you are doing what you want to do and not what some diet tells you that you have to do.
