I have an exceptional honor to have added this one to my collection only recently. Have already seen this video once, quite some time ago and it is the very reason I am a Thin Lizzy fan these days.

The tracklist is as follows:

07.) ROSALIE
08.) BABY PLEASE DON'T GO

Recorded in January 1983 at Regal Theatre in UK, this is a rather special performance. First, songs were being transmitted live on the radio and second, it was the very first time Sykes played live with the band, as Lynott lets us know when introducing him towards the end.

And, although I never really was an admirer of Sykes, as in my opinion Lizzy period with him sounded tad too thunderous (not this concert, though), I must say his performance for a first-timer is quite impressive. Only his solo in THE SUN GOES DOWN sounds sort of strange, like being hastily cut off at times. But great overall performance nonetheless - of him and others as well. Glad to see Phil had some joy in him left at that time.

As for technical info, everything is as should be. The video is nice sharp, bright and clean, allowing us being able to see lots of band details. Sound is brilliant, too. All in all, a total opposite to the other 1983 concert - an infamous Thunder & Lightning Tour.

Guess there is no need to tell you how very rare and hard to obtain this one is. Makes it only so much more valuable and although maybe being a tad short; with duration time tiny bit below 44 minutes; every single song is flawless. If nothing else, there are some songs like THIS IS THE ONE and BABY PLEASE DON'T GO, which are hard to find in live footage, and are definitely worth to see (although BABY is on the other 1983 video as well, but so poorly recorded it just doesn't do).

What more to say? If you ever stumble upon this one, do not hesitate to obtain it. I am quite sure you won't regret it. A pure joy, to watch it and a great shame there are no signs about it being released on DVD format anytime soon. But, sadly, this is an old story with Lizzy...
