Personalities that is! An absolute marvelous album all around. The opening track "Three Wishes" is hauntingly beautiful with just enough added power, and probably my favorite track on here. After your first listen, you'll want to hear it again. This songwriter and band leader Daniel Treacy is a pure pop genius! One of the Better English post-punk bands to have come out in the late '70s and early '80s. At least of the post-punk bands I have heard. On the song "Painter Man" - Treacy sounds a bit like Bob Dylan. The next track "Psychadelic Holiday" sounds like a catchy little number out of the '60s, singing "It's Yours to Take, It's All For Free" - as a chorus line.
"They Could Have Been Bigger Than the Beatles"(kind of an ironic title since they were never a commercial success) is the Television Personalities 3rd release in 1982. Their self-titled debut came out in 1981. I do prefer this and I only own these two so far.
All very soothing and classic pop and you can tell they laid the groundwork for future artists including The Pastels- another favorite of mine.
