5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Album, creative band., 10 April 2007
By T. A. Wood "tdoubleyou" (London, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a truly great album. I own Print Is Dead Vol. 1 and bought this on the strength of seeing them perform the album live in Camden. I had never really listened to them before, and thought that there previous work was a bit too intense (in hindsight I'm sure I'll go away and regret that comment).

This album is superb from start to finish, it contains elements of sheer heavy rock, with even some catchy riffs and melodies. Although one track sounds suspiciously like the Queens Of The Stone Age, the album is a wonder.

It doesn't even last long enough, by the closing moments of the final track you know you've listened to something epic approximating elements of The Mars Volta and Oceansize, equally dreamy, yet as intense and occasionally proggy as TMV.

I agree with the previous reviewer, this is a great sign of some fantastic music coming out of Britain today.

5.0 out of 5 stars They Came From The Sun..., 4 April 2007
By A "new_noise" (North Wales, UK) - See all my reviews
I know this is yet another 5 star review of an album, but prior to this album i wasn't a major YCNIM fan, but this album is honestly brilliant. Overall alot more accessible than 'Ignoto' and 'All Roads to Fault' and minus the album fillers.

Pretty much every song on this album is fantastic, the first half of the album being near flawless and only at the end may the songs seem to drag slightly. They show off a musical diversity and technique which is fresh and ace to listen too. Think of Mars Volta with more rock, riffs and less Ambiguity.

New comers to YCNIM should also find this album a good listen and perhaps the best place to start with the bands catalogue as some of thier other music can seem a bit hard to take in at first. The vocals fit brilliantly within the music and the sound of the band is brilliantly original

Its wicked to see proof that thier are British Bands out there doing somethin different from the usual Trendy indie scene we're subjected too. This album proves that YCNIM are a band to be watched closely, as they're fast becoming an amazing band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 15 Dec 2007
By P. J. Wyatt (Truro, Cornwall, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
A truly excellent album - most likely one of the best released in 2007. Every song quickly becomes, despite some not being immediate, a favourite. The complexity of Translate, the thrill of Understand. Brilliant stuff. The only disappointment is that this is their last, having broken up a few months after the CD's release.
