hugely entertaining 13 Dec 2006
Format:Paperback
The funniest thing I have read in a long time. A brilliant composition of lonely heart adds that range from side splittingly funny to just plain weird. I didn't think that people could be so open, direct and funny just by writing 30 words about themselves. I can't think of anybody who wouldn't enjoy this book, an ideal gift that i've passed on to many friends and family members.

Genuinely Hilarious. 15 Jun 2008
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book takes pride of place as my favourite toilet read, next to Letterbox by Viz. A quintessential selection of British humour, intelligence and wit, combined with quiet desperation and understated sexual frenzy, you just know that more than half these submissions are written to entertain instead of attract a mate. Let's face it, if you were as half as funny as these personal ads are, you wouldn't be crying yourself to sleep every night in your lonely bedsit or mansion. Buy it, and find your heart warmed by the human condition.

Achingly funny 21 Sep 2010
By AllanT
Format:Paperback
This book is a delight, from the very odd entry to some that make your sides and face ache with laughing. We have already passed it round and when back will take it's place in the loo as a great book to enjoy for for two minutes as much as for an evening. Thoroughly recommend it.
