This product works reasonably well for its purpose, but it is as expensive as some much better models and more expensive than similar toilets from other brands. It is after all only a basic model, you have to get your face quite close to the contents of the bowl to pump away frantically at the squeezy flush, not too nice, particularly if it's not you but one of the kids who has used it! To be fair it is good quality, but the plastic is fairly soft which means it will soon pick up scratches and marks and look tatty. Also the trap door sticks on the last little bit as you push it in again so that if you forget to thump it all the way in you keep getting a whiff of the holding tank.
I have upgraded now to a Dometic (900 series) toilet of the same type, and it actually cost a bit less money than the Porta-Potti and it has a pressurised flush tank and flushes very efficiently at the touch of a button without the need for electricity or batteries, is made from shiny robust plastic and to my eyes seems a much better product. I felt compelled to let folks know what they could get for their money instead of this one, and I promise I'm not in any way affiliated with Dometic! Alternatively there are other similar toilets available for less money than the 165 and although I haven't used these I can't imagine them being too much different.
