Really enjoy these DS9 follow-up books.

Find all the new/reintroduced characters in these books much more appealing (better fleshed out) than those in the Next Gen ones.
And the continuing stories of the TV series main characters are great.
I'd have preferred a little less of the Andorian family troubles, but even those scenes were written well,
and were useful for introducing the new counselor.

Pity there isn't a second omnibus addition.
I really want to read the next two Mission Gamma books, but they cost a bit more than I can afford.
(There are a lot of Star Trek follow up books to read)

Highly recommend for any DS9 fans,
although it'd be helpful to read the books that come before it first.

These Haunted Seas is worth getting for "Twilight" alone, as it has become really hard to find in recent years, being sold second hand for crazy prices. Let's hope another omnibus of Cathedral and Lesser Evil (maybe Rising Son as well) comes out soon.

Good and Bad 23 Mar. 2009
By P. McCoy - Published on Amazon.com

I just finished reading this book this morning and liked it for the most part. However, I was very disappointed that my expectations were not met. I had hoped to find out what happened to Jake Sisko after he disappeared into the Wormhole in the previous book, "Twist of Faith", but that did NOT happen!

"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: These Haunted Seas" is actually a compilation of the first two Mission Gamma books, "Twilight" and "This Gray Spirit". Now I'm faced with the challenge of hunting down other anthologies to complete my reading because the remaining Mission Gamma books, "Cathedral" and "Lesser Evil" have to be purchased through other sellers rather than directly from Amazon, which I find inconvenient. I wish Amazon provided better options in this regard.

I love reading anything Star Trek. Its nice to read a book written in 2013 and still have the same characters and background as one written 20 years ago.

This is not a NEW book 25 Oct. 2008
By Catherine L. Fick - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
If you have been reading Trek books like I have for over 20 years you may have noticed the trend to publishd "new" books that are actually relaunches of books already published. This book is actually a reprint of the first two books in the MISSION: GAMMA 4 part series that came out in 2002. Now, if you can't get the original books, buying this as a 2-for-1 is not such a bad deal, but pay attention to oversized books being offered as new because they may be relaunches.
