Product Description

The five members of Elephant Revival share a deep commitment to certain ideals: community, recognising ones place in the flow of the natural world, harmony. Holding on to those ideals in the midst of heady career growth and strong individual creative forces could be difficult, but they weather these storms with aplomb, and in doing so, have produced their best album to date. It is a document about striving for transcendence under These Changing Skies which was recorded at legendary Bear Creek Studio in Woodinville, WA and was produced and mixed by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers, Brandi Carlile, The Walkmen). Elephant Revival formed on the banks of Spring Creek in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and then relocated to Nederland, Colorado in fall of 2006. They loved one anothers sense of shared values and the way that their disparate musical influences began to form a more cohesive tapestry the more they played together. It really is a natural confluence of our elemental influences, says bassist/multi-instrumentalist Dango Rose. Those elemental influences extend beyond the musical to a world view that is expressed not only through the music, but in their lyrics.

Came across this band by chance. Well worth a listen. A CD that grows on you. Will now take a look into the back catalogue.

Their best yet! 8 Sept. 2013

I have a few of their albums and have seen them live several times. Elephant Revival is one of my all time favorite bands! The Changing Skies shows the maturity that the band is developing. To me, these new tracts show off their talents and love for what they do more than ever!

fantastic 18 Feb. 2014

I absolutely love and adore this album. The songs on it are a bit folky with a Celtic twist to them. The fiddle playing rocks, the vocals rock, the songwriting is wonderful as are the melodies. Please enjoy!

If you get a chance to see Elephant Revival play live, do it! I watched a lot of these songs being performed, and their violinist is amazing! The album is still very good, too, luckily.

I just can't believe what I've just heard. I have yet to hear a bad song by Elephant Revival. I got cold listening to this album from the constant chills. In love.

Another beautiful collection of songs... 16 Dec. 2013

I love this band. They are all great musicians, and their songs are deep, meaningful and beautifully played. I especially love their obvious connection to nature - each song is visually stimulating right along with the rhythm and audio bliss.
