"These Are The Days" is a very special release. The title track is a slow jazz song likely to please old-time Sinatra fans and those warming to the new jazz and soul wave in which Jamie is joined by Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone and his fellow BRITS performer Katie Melua. While the A side is pleasing enough, what is really special about this release is the rumoured B-side - a stunning cover of Pharrel Williams' 2003 corker "Frontin'". Jamie has taken an insanely catchy R n B tune and reworked it, redefining the sound with his own jazz beats and adding a layer of sincerity to the lyrics which Pharrel lacked. That radical a track, after hearing Jamie's version on Radio 1 in February 2004, Pharrel demanded a copy of the song and has said he wants to work with him. "Frontin'" reaffirms Jamie's talent and ability to break genres which too many current artists don't possess. Amazon has not published the song list for this record, but as soon as you see "Frontin'" printed BUY THIS RECORD. Jamie looks destined to be the next Neptunes of jazz; working with all the best talent, regardless of genre. Even if you already have "Twentysomething", buy this record: be part of a new era in music.
