There's no such thing as monsters!,

This review is from: There's No Such Thing As Monsters (Paperback)
Little Bear is sleeping in his own room for the first time and he is afraid of monsters. Big Bear has to come in and investigate all the scary shadows, etc. This is a good book to buy if you are facing the problem of a little one not wanting to sleep in their own room, but it doesn't really work that well as a story on its own merits. However, if you do want something to reassure then it might be the book for you.

I have to read this book to my daughter every day,

I borrowed this book from the library for my 2 1/2 year old. She absolutely loves it and wants to read it every day. I'm going to buy it for her because I know she'll miss it when I return it later today.
On the pages where the 'Monsters' appear she recites the story with me word for word and gets really caught up in the drama. It's helped her understand the concept of shadows and she's now fascinated with the lights in the house and shadows created by herself and different things in the house. As to how successful it would be as a tool for moving your child to their own room, I can't comment, although would speculate that it may increase the paranoia of monsters and such delightful things but as an overall read for youngsters I would recommend.

This review is from: Theres No Such Thing as Monsters (Hardcover)
This is a really cute book for little guys with imaginations. It has bright, colorful and fun illustrations and is a pleasure to read. It tells of little bear who keeps "seeing" monsters and big bear his brother who comes in to help him each time he gets scared. My boys (2 and 4) love it! :)

He loved this book and now he is more willing to believe that there are no such things as monsters (because you can't trust your parents when they say it lol)
