This poetry book is great fun for all ages. I have read selected poems out loud to a group of excitable under fives who enjoyed laughing with the adults and asked for more. It is well illustrated with black and white images. I would feel as a picture book alternative it would be more approachable for younger readers and it would be great to see a picture book version. My 8 year old loved it too. Some pages only have one 4 line verse and I can see how another reviewer felt this was a waste of space but I think it could make a more reluctant reader feel a sense of achivement as the number of pages read is important to them. Well worth a read.
