By C. FULLER TOP 50 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Issued as part of the 100 years celebration by Renown Pictures of Butcher's Film Distributors this excellent second feature is typical of the films made in the early 1950s.
Husband and wife acting team Dulcie Gray & Michael Denison were popular both on stage and screen and this pairing directed by Lawrence Huntington has Dulcie as a rather efficient secretary and Michael as her new boss. Look out for film regular Sydney Tafler once again cast as a crook and an early eccentric role for Kenneth Connor (later to become a major Carry On star) as well as Jane Marple herself Miss Geraldine McEwan.

The picure quality is good and the sound fine so you will no doubt settle down to afternoon tea whilst transporting yourself back to the heady days of 1950s Britain...ah bliss. Look out for more such treats from Renown Pictures on DVD.

Hadn't seen this film before, the description sounded good, we enjoyed sitting down and watching it. Bill Owen is as good as ever, some of his actions in this film are similar to that of when he played "Compo" in later years.

This was a movie new to me - one of the many "B" items now completely overlooked. Whilst it could not reasonably be rated among, or perhaps even approaching, more illustrious movies, it nevertheless is well worth a viewing, and is in some repects even more entertaining that some more highly rated films. Well worth a watch.
