This delightful, fascinating collection of true stories collected by Hopke is strongly recommended for the "mystic" at any level of development. His work shows us that these kinds of coincidental events, first labelled "synchronistic" by Carl Jung, sooner or later occur in the lives of us all. And they are more than mere coincidences. Many times a job loss occurs just in time to save someone from a worse disaster. A person may be considering using a certain song in an audition against the advice of his voice coach, only to hear it on the radio on the way to the audition. This prompts him to use the song and he gets the coveted part. Another person meets someone from the distant past in the middle of the desert, and that meeting completely changes the future of that particular individual.

Hopke discusses the synchronicity of dreams, as well. Much to his credit, he also addresses the problem with assigning major significance to minor events, and covers those who blow "mystical" occurrences out of proportion.

An intriguing collection of true short stories of people's lives, this is well worth the read.

Once you pick up this book, you will be compelled to continue reading it; however, you must pause at times in order to digest its powerful message. Hopcke successfully and succinctly illustrates the mosaic of our lives. Each person's life is unique and has a "plot" in which "coincidences" are intended and meaningful "accidents." Hopcke eloquently delineates what Jung termed "synchronicity" and he provides a marvelous collection of examples from real life of synchronistic events.

Hopcke demonstrates that each facet of our life has meaning and is a step along the path that we must follow. Each event in our life weaves a segment in the overall tapestry of our life on this planet. By "going with the flow" and avoiding impendance to the flow, the beautiful "story" of our life will become evident.

A great introduction to synchronicity. Easy to read, but not too basic. It has many great examples of real life meaningfull coincidences, with explinations in between. Well written, and not too tedious to read. It opens up your mind to look for synchronicity in your own life.
