5.0 out of 5 stars Unusual style - very thought provoking, 10 Dec 2006
By Mr. J. White "Jason" - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is quite a short book but is written in the first person (mainly in the form of memories). I found it very thought provoking as Mez has a very interesting story to tell. From a Christian perspective, it is great to have a book which comes at things from a different, and I think more grounded, perpective that provides a valuable insight into how others perceive Christians and the value of friendship in evangelism. I think the chapter when Mez is in prison is especially descriptive in terms of helpful those of us who haven't been in that position to understand a little what it is like. The book is also funny in places and the chapter in which Mex is in Bible College is also very interesting (in ways you might not expect...) All in all a very worthwhile and challenging / motivating read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read !!, 27 Dec 2008
By Mr. P. Williams "avid reader" (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Written in the "stream-of-consciousness" style of literature, this book presents a very candid insight into the author's background - his hurts and fears, his joys and sorrows. A great read. Warmly recommended together with the following book : Travel with William Cowper: The Evangelical Poet (Travel With...)
