I've been wearing a pair of Skechers Shape Up shoes for a year now, and can't imagine going back to wearing ordinary shoes for everyday use. But I was disappointed with the way the Shape Ups soul had deteriorated. Yes, I've worn them a lot, yes, they're ridiculously comfortable, and yes, I could walk all day in them without getting tired feet - maybe I should have been happy with that, but when you pay £95 for a pair of shoes you hope they'll last.
I loved them so much I was considering paying loads more for proper MBT shoes that should last longer.
So, when I saw these for £20 I thought it had to be worth a try. And YES, it definitely was. I've only had them a day, and walked for about 40 minutes in them, but happy to say they are really comfy.
At first I thought the pad under the ball of my foot felt strange, but once you've walked in them that feels fine.
They're made of more substantial material than the Shape Ups, the softness of the Shape Ups soles does mean that they are incredibly comfy, and the rocking motion is less obvious, but I reckon these will last longer.
I'm not sure how I would have found the rocker soul if these were my first pair, some may find the way you can rock back on them troublesome, people more used to heels may fall backwards.
I think these could be as comfortable as the Shape Ups, possibly too early to say, but haven't walked in them long enough just yet.
