For years, fans have waited for David's original recordings to be re-released on CD. While many of the Partridge albums have been reissued, to date only one of David's 70s albums has made it to CD - the hugely successful "Cherish". This release is 2001 take on most of David's earlier hits and is the next best thing to the originals. The backing tracks largely remain true to the originals but David has put a fresh stamp on the lead vocals. There are several new recordings too. Stand out tracks in my view are "I Write The Songs", "Rock Me Baby", "Some Kind Of A Summer", "Cherish", "Could It Be Forever", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Cry", "Ricky's Tune", "No Bridge I Wouldn't Cross" - damn it, they're all excellent. David is in fine voice throughout!! As I write this review, the CD is #7 first week in on the National Top 40. A stunning result for a stunning album and a must for all David Cassidy fans who would love to take the journey from Then to Now!!!
