trent reznor doing his thing but call of duty style. don't expect anything too experimental - just expect something suited to call of duty as created by trent...but cooler

Having already conquered the movie world along with Atticus Ross with two fantastic scores of David Fincher movies, Trent Reznor has now delivered the theme from the number one first person shooter franchise "Call of Duty:Black Ops 2". It's a natural step for Reznor who has been a long time video game fan, even scoring the video game "Quake" back in the 90's.

The theme itself is heavy and has a grandiose atmosphere to it. While it starts out tame before the first sound of drums kick in at the 30 second mark it then slips back into lighter territory as it builds up to a wall of noise that features heavy pounding drums, a grinding guitar and bass. If it has a feel of any of Reznors previous work it would be the album "The Fragile", that is the closest comparison you can give this track.

The track at nearly six minutes long is epic in structure and is the perfect track for Black Ops 2. On hearing a track like this you know you want Reznor to return to working on new Nine Inch Nails material and quickly at that.
