Having read 'Hater' and 'Dog Blood', I'd been keenly anticipating the release of 'Them or Us'. I had to wait a while to get it but it was well worth the wait. This is close to a masterpiece, and maybe the best book Mr. Moody has written, in my very humble opinion. It's dark, wonderfully bleak and violent. Wonderful stuff. The main antagonist, Hinchcliffe, is suitably ruthless, vile and psychopathic, and plays off well against the 'hero' of the book. The tone of loss and regret continues through the entire story as the main character, Danny, realises that humanity won't recover from the war between the Haters and the Unchanged. However, the novel ends with some hope for the future. It's tragic, bittersweet and poignant.
A great end to a great trilogy.
