I first heard Misty's Big Adventure on BBC 6. I HAD to hear more so I ordered this album. All I can say is Bizarre. Most of the tracks are 90seconds or less and I do think it's worth listening to the whole album in one go to fully appreciate it.
It is a bit like Marmite (you'll either love it or hate it) but I'm sure even if you are of the latter opinion, you will have a sneaky respect for this Brummie band.
Track listing:
1. Misty's Big Adventure
2. Biscuit Tin
3. Night Time Better Than The Daytime
4. Home Taping's Killing Music
5. Circles, Squares And I Blame The Parents
6. Cool With A Capital C
7. I Killed The Neighbours
8. Mulling Over It
9. A Dog Like You
10. Singsong
11. Fighting For My Life
12. Remind Me A Song
13. They're Controlling Our Minds
(I think Home Taping's Killing Music is a clever little song, while Killing the Neighbours leaves me humming for ages afterwards)
Also try the album Black Hole for crazy, original tunes.
Give it a try, you might be surprised.
PS If you get a chance to see these guys live, go for it!
