4.0 out of 5 stars Brats had to be one of the most funniest films the duo made, 21 Mar 2001
By A Customer
This is an exceptional compilation video made by the ever famous Stanley Laurel and Mr Oliver Norvell Hardy (Babe). Although the other two films on this video are great, nothing can prepare the viewer for what is to come of the one called "BRATS". I have to say i have shed manys a tear whilst watching this over and over again. It is so funny that you feel you have done a work out, by the way your chest aches. The film is set in the duos house were the two friends are looking after their siblings (also played by Stan and Oliver) but the tricks and teasing that the two kids play on each other is just fun fun fun. The use of oversized furniture and large toys make this tale even more convincing and over the top. I assure you that buying this video makes a worthy addition to your ever growing Laurel and Hardy collection. I know it did to mine! Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent L&H compilation, 16 Nov 2001
By
To L&H fans this may sound controversial but my favourite of the three is Their First Mistake. The plot sees Ollie adopting a baby in order to try to save his marriage. Of special note is an early scene where Ollie goes into Stan's room to escape from his wife - simply wonderful.
Brats and Twice Two see L&H playing their children and wives respecitvely. More than interesting for L&H fans and some good sight gags and dialogue for everyone.
Three excellent short fims.

4.0 out of 5 stars My first Laurel and Hardy in colour, 4 Feb 2004
By
This review is from: Their First Mistake/Brats [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Up until now I have only ever seen Laurel and Hardy in Black and White. These colour films are a great new experience. You appear to see much more detail.

"Their First Mistake" is the first film on the tape. My favourite part is when the lights go out and Ollie trips and makes an awful noise and wakes the baby and the neighbourhood.

The next story "Brats" is unusual as Stan and Ollie play their own children as well as themselves. The "kids" look just like Laurel and Hardy in a giant's house!

"Twice Two" is my favourite of the three. This time the boys play each other's wives as well as themselves. One of funniest scenes is when Stan's wife (Fanny) gets a cake on her head and she looks like the old picture on the wall.
