An excellent view of West End Culture 14 Jan 2011
By GToovey - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
For most people, and insight into the closed world of the West End is impossible. This books provides access to insider knowledge - historical anecdotes, personal knowledge of how plays and production work, the general culture of people who work and live in theatreland. It provides an insightful look at the miniature cosmos of actors, critics, producers, stagehands and audiences. An entertaining and informative read, and very unique -- I can't think of another book that offers such well-rounded perspective on the fascinating world of London theatre. Well recommended!
An informative and gossipy look at the history of London's theatre district 6 July 2009
By Coco Pazzo - Published on Amazon.com

A very good book which focuses on buildings as well as personalities in London's Theatreland. Fans of Ethan Mordden's Broadway surveys and theatre fanatics in general will find much to enjoy.
