I bought this for commuting on the overheated London transport system in the summer. I works just like its supposed to but also looks very pretty. Being made of quite thick real lace, it doesn't want to pleat naturally as most other stiffened fabric fans would and needs to be encouraged a little to fold up. It is also therefore a little bulkier when folded up than most other fans. But I like it and don't care!
