What would you do for love? What would you do for a friend? What would you do for money? When an old girlfriend turns up on his doorstep with a sob story and a bagful of money, Adam reluctantly agrees to help. When he is then attacked by two south London villains intent on retrieving the money and finding the girl, his oldest friend Jake, a former Royal Marine, has to rescue him. Mistaken for serious underworld players the two friends play at being gangsters, but events and lies spiral out of control until they become embroiled in drug deals, a gangland war and murder. This British thriller takes the reader on a pacey journey through the lives of vividly real characters. Dark humour peppers the stylish narrative and dynamic dialogue and the book has been described as 'Layer Cake for the Literati' "Fast-paced and action packed with vivid characters: a thumping good read!" The product of tropical nookie in the Seychelles, Steevan and his brothers found themselves moved from pillar to post in some of the less well known depths of East Africa. Not returning to the UK until 1980, when the family settled in Bedfordshire.
Steevan graduated from King Alfred's College (Now Winchester University)in 1994 with a Drama degree. He also captained the University rugby team and has carried on playing the game well past his prime.
Steevan has worked in one form of marketing or another since 1996 and has enjoyed, hated and loved it in equal measure. He has always written and like many authors has the starts of many novels, but in 2006 he set himself the challenge of writing and completing a novel, more accurately a crime thriller, in just six months. He achieved this feat, but unfortunately it was utter rubbish. So he wrote it all again, and then again. Then he left it alone for a bit and then re-wrote it again and once more for luck. In 2009 "Froggie" was born.
Two sequels to the "The frog and the Scorpion" are being written along with the creation of a new thriler character -David Danjou, a Englishman and former French Foreign Legionaire that wanders Europe causing and solving problems in equal measure. While unquestionably a good guy David know's how to be very bad indeed. The first David Danjou thriller will be released later in 2012.
Steevan lives near Windsor and is maried with a son. He competed on Mastermind in 2006, reaching the semi-final and also on ITV's the Chase in 2012.
