Supplied by Amazon and it arrived without delay, as usual. I had meant to read this for a number of years, and I now have. A fine read as one expects from Trevor.

The Big Pickup 5 May 2011

I first read this book 50 years ago and enjoyed it second time around. If you are interested in the 2nd WW this should not be missed.

This is unusual.......this is the first time that I can think of where the film is better than the book. The book seemed staid and plodding whereas the film, Dunkirk, starring John Mills, Richard Attenborough and a cameo appearance early on, of Keneth Cope as the officer (Blink and you miss it!), brought the events to life. The music by Malcolm Arnold helped too.
