About the Author

As a devout spiritual seeker for over many years, Keith Loy encountered much of what confuses spiritual awakening. After what he views as being a long an unnecessary search, he finally managed to shake off all of the confusion he encountered, thereby allowing for the awakening to what he now simply calls Reality.

I had a friend who was struggling with life a bit recently and thought, what book about non duality/awakening would I recommend to her?
I've read so many over the past year that I just couldn't think which to choose.
Then this week, this book arrived.
This is the book I recommended.
It's a beautiful little book, that cuts away all the garbage and just points you to what you need to know. The key to life is right here in it's pages.
It's written in very frank, easy to understand language. It's light hearted and humorous. The writer, through his words is very likeable.
Basically it keeps pointing to the fact that thoughts constantly spin their stories and all it takes is for attention to lightly be taken away from believing them and 'come to our senses' for the illusion so be seen through.
I don't know why it hasn't got more good reviews, it seems people are overlooking this one.
You see a lot of reviews for 'spiritual' books stating 'The only/last book you need to buy'. This could fall into that category, it leaves one with no excuses, makes everything clearer.

I must admit that I waited some time to read this book, but it was worth the wait. I must say that this book is probably the only book you ever need to become enlightened. The language of the book is straight to the point, no esoteric vocabulary or mysterious clues to unravel. Loy is the man who points out that some people are there for the search, they need the thrill of the spiritual journey, for them the journey is all there is, not the destination. Some people want to look for enlightenment everywhere except where you can find it, inside ... He points out to the central question: Do you REALLY WANT enlightenment ? Do You ? It will not come to you without the effort of being here and in the now, no way !
So, I must say that I read several books and listened to several audios about the topic of enlightenment, but this is all you need. Maybe listen to Eckhart Tolle and then come to Loy's book, that might set the path to enlightenment.

Its so badly written, so repetitive that ir becomes boring and a effort to read. Stil his ideas and points put the best of other books together and makes sense. Occasionally he puts the odd paragraph in that is completely out of line with the rest that is ridiculous. It could have been written in two chapters as most chapters are the same. Still any two chapters are better than other spiritual books from Tolle to non duality etc. He adds the missing parts that inspire change rather than theorising about it. If this book was put together professionally and some paragraphs taken out it would be difficult to find beter.

I thought this book had some interesting things to say, but unfortunately my enjoyment of reading it was considerably reduced by the fact that it has not been professionally copy-edited and there are a lot of mistakes in terms of grammar, spelling and style consistency. Although there is nothing wrong with self-publishing, authors going down that route really should get their work copy-edited and proof-read first. Having said that, the author writes with passion and conviction about spiritual awareness and I did get caught up in his enthusiasm a lot of the time.
