Product Description

Product Description

The dead walk among us. This flashcard deck was created to provide private citizens – people with limited time and resources – with an emergency crash course in basic zombie survival techniques. Organized by theme, this deck includes commonsense advice that will be your first asset in a moment of panic:

Avoid dressing in chain mail, plate mail, or any other heavy body armor: Without the speed or agility to outrun your attackers, you’ll end up as little more than canned food.

Consider all factors when choosing a weapon: Once a chain saw runs out of fuel, it provides as much protection as a handheld stereo.

Know your enemy: Our greatest advantage over the undead is our ability to think. Use your head, and cut off theirs!

Mr. Brooks is now a mini-industry churning out stuff that we will all no doubt find invaluable come the Zombie Apocalypse. And good luck to him I say!

"Know your enemy: Our greatest advantage over the undead is our ability to think. Use your head, and cut off theirs!

"Avoid dressing in chain mail, plate mail, or any other heavy body armor: Without the speed or agility to outrun your attackers, you'll end up as little more than canned food."

And there was I, foolishly thinking of buying myself a snazzy chain-mail outfit for the winter...

These cards are no more than the book repackaged. A nice present for a goth teen, but not if someone already has the book. Actually I suspect that Mr. Brooks is having a bit of a private joke. One card called 'power tools as weapons' consists of nothing more than pictures of a chain-saw and a cordless drill! Still no doubt it'll keep the hardcore zombie fans happy, but he must be laughing all the way to the bank.

And I do wonder, if one plays along with the central conceit, just how useful some of this advice is anyway? How good a weapon is a cordless drill? For starters - what size drill bit do you need? How deep should you go? And do you ask the zombie to hold still for a moment while you drill into his skull? I would think in the heat of the moment the whole thing would be better used as a club...

Excellent survival guide, indespensable in this current enviroment of Zombies walking the earth. Don't think I would have survived this long without it. Got to go...think I hear banging at the door.....hope they don't get in this time!

Zombie Survival 1 Oct 2009
Format:Cards
Good sized deck of cards with each one giving info on how to slaughter/ maim, turn the kitchen appliances into weapons etc etc

Long hair needs cutting as zombie can grab ponytail, small knives are not good as they tend to miss the target when thrown, swords far more preferable... amazing what you can learn. If you're not concerned with the expense, these are a good set for your zombie survival collection, though if you really believe it is going to happen, memorise the cards. They may be too big for you to take out and read as you are running screaming down the street being chased by your hungry neighbours.

Basically the book turned into cards but great for a bit of fun.
