A vampire story not erotica like I thought. My fault for not reading the description. I did really enjoy this story but was not sure about the ending. Could do with a little clean up with the editing but nothing too bad.

HASH(0x8f0de594) out of 5 stars It's okay. 7 April 2014

Left out letters in words, wrong choice of word, incorrect spelling make this book edit-challenged. The plot possessed plenty of action but the love story felt immature, like a 15 year-old wrote it. The characters were not lovable and cried too much. Don't pay too much for this or you might be disappointed. The plot is the only reason I gave this book three stars. Keep on reading my fellow book worms!

HASH(0x8f0de9c0) out of 5 stars More of Tragedy than Romance 11 Sept. 2013
By ANNA S. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I wasn't overly thrilled reading this book. This collection is a goth-like tragedy plot that is not suitable for teens, I think. Personally it made me depressed to read and it got disappointing at the end. I kept expecting Ben would be a love interest for Zoey or that he would grow out of the 'rut' he was in and become the hero but he became an insane psychopath and the whole plot just got whacko-down-the-rabbit-hole-weird. I kind of got creeped out for most of it and wished there was more plot development for Zoey and much older Galahad. I just don't understand why she'd want a boy-man like Galahad, suddenly 'jump-into-the-sack' as it were and the way he betrayed her like that! There are spoilers below.
Zoey Brook is introduced as a timid 'ugly' girl who is emotionally-starved from her non-sober alcoholic human mother who 'hates' her (which Zoey doesn't know why until later) and viciously bullied at her school by a fat female bully Jessica. Her best friend Benjamin "Ben" is also another tragically abused character who has enormous unrequited crush on Zoey but he's the only one that Zoey can talk to which is why she can't really completely reject him. His father who beats him up alot and Jessica who beats them both up alot at school. (Why didn't they try to bring attention to this mistreatment? Or just leave town together after all this abuse by their families and classmates?)
Zoey gets hurt so bad by Jessica that she blacks out and sees a vision of her father and mother with Galahad in the past (she doesn't know it at the time). After waking from the long vision to find seconds past, Ben helps her to get out of school but Zoey breaks down because her mom hates her and she can't go home. Ben tries to offer his home since his dad is gone but Zoey senses Ben is trying to become more than a friend and blocks him, leaving him. Zoey sees Galahad and faints after meeting him. She sees Galahad with her mom in dream state, which her now-different-caring mom tells Zoey to 'Trust Galahad' and in the hospital. Mutterings of healing and a miracle, later she discovers she turned into a vampire. In a hospital gown, Zoey was in a 'blood-lust' vampire survival state of mind which her humanity was surpressed and hunts through town - searching for Ben by his scent. Finds him at the school with Jessica bullying him, Zoey attacks Jessica and drains her dry. Then she attacks Ben but Galahad arrives to stop her. She chooses to go with Galahad after she comes to her senses but Ben doesn't realize the reason why Zoey left him - just that she went with Galahad and feels sad/depressed (I was worried he would get suicidal watch because of this, but he doesn't).
Her human mom at the Council meet and explains that she was driven to alcohol after Zoey's vampire dad stayed behind and died to save them both - her mom resented that Zoey's dad Varo died because she was pregnant with Zoey at time. Varo probably would still be alive and gone with her if she wasn't pregnant. (It's not like it was Zoey's fault for being conceived! - Tearing-your-own-hair-out-Stupidity!!!!) That she knew she was a bad mother and tries to make amends with Zoey and planning to become a vampire to be heard by vampire council (to help Zoey?).
Galahad trains her with her thirst after she discovers he's her vampire protector and she falls for him but feels guilty for leaving Ben. Ben later wants to find Zoey but through the internet finds an old vampire hunter and trains with him. Ben kills his father after building up with vampire training and sick of his dad's treatment of him.
Galahad seemed whiny to me - after Zoey finds out the evil Isadora is Galahad's married! Isadora is his wife/mate. Galahad kept trying to get Zoey to forgive him which seem forced to me that she'd forgive him enough to 'make love' with him. Even though he looked like a young adult and supposedly a 'man,' but he didn't seem to have the guts to kill Isadora himself and later tries to get Zoey do it. Zoey's mom wants to be a vampire and Galahad offers to turn her. Towards the end, I was expecting him to betray Zoey towards the end and he didn't.
Benjamin finds out his mentor was in love with Isadora after Zoey tries to kill Isadora and gets knocked out unconscious. Then Ben becomes totally psycho - going to kill the vampires, including Zoey and that his 'love' emotions to Zoey would lead to ruin. Benjamin has sex with Isadora after killing his mentor coldly and then kills Isadora. Then when he tries to kill Zoey, he blanks out when she awakens - hiding the stake and tries to have sex with her. Zoey in blood-lust just wants his blood, not sex, but he reveals his plans to kill all vampires and she snaps out of it. With her best friend trying to kill her, she gets away back to the Vampire Council and tells Galahad that she kissed Ben. He's pissed but he forgives her and marries her. Ben interrupts the ceremony and kills a vampire. I didn't give away the ending here but personally, the end was less than was desired and it was more of a tragedy than a romantic story.

It says the complete collection 1-4. I only got 1 book not all of them with this download. Book was good but disappointed that I didn't get the others like it says. Put All the books in here like it says and I will give it a 5 star .

Not the greatest read. The character development was weak as was the story line. Although it did have a twist to the typical happy ending it was weakly structured and offered little creative development.
