`The Youngest Was the Most Loved' is the 2nd single taken from Morrissey's `Ringleader of the Tormentors' album, and while it's by no means one of the best songs on the albums it does at least display the single attributes of having a fairly catchy chorus (thanks in part to a children's choir) and being brief.
Sole B-Side on this format `If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look at Me' is musically fairly standard Moz-by-numbers thanks to it's basic chord strumming, but Morrissey transforms the song into something a little stranger (and more enjoyable) thanks to some tuneful humming and typically self-depreciating lyrics.
