I have read my share of diet books,(and been on several diets) but this book is not like that. It did show, me, though that food, when given due respect can make tremendous transformations in people; physically, mentally and emotionally. That it can be used to nourish all levels.
This book has nothing to do with food portions or food selections or anything like that. It's about where your mind and heart are at as you eat. Because if one of them are missing at the dinner table then one of them is not going to get nourished. Simply, it shows that if you learn to eat with your mind and heart in attendance as well as your fork and knife that magic things can happen to you both inside and out... like you can lose weight without following rigid and/or restrictive diets. That you can eat what you want, when you want. That everytime you eat you can feel you are helping yourself, rather than hurting yourself.
I wish every person who struggles with a weight problem could read this book. They would never feel like a failure again(as I did). They would just be(like me) so grateful that somebody told them a few things.
