Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., is a spiritual doctor of psychology and fourth-generation metaphysician who works with the angelic, elemental, and ascended master realms. I've read a lot of "how to..." books and I have to say this is the first that has really hit home. A friend recommended it to me but warned me that I might cry and guess what I did.
The book showed me how to get to the root cause of my overeating, analysed the different types of overeaters and illustrated methods of recovery depending on the type of overeating.
I really liked the book, because it didn't focus on diet at all. It simply focussed on the emotions, thoughts and feelings running through our heads and how these can be changed. Once these have changed then our attitude to food will change - automatically decreasing the desire to overeat.
A really good, easy to follow read!

I have just lost a massive amount of weight and have been worried about putting it back on, hence me purchasing this book. I have to say, I'm glad I did. Ok some of it is a bit "airy fairy" in places, but then, so am I, but overall, the contents of the book really are eye opening. Doreen talks about the different types of "foodies", of which I thought originally I was just a binge eater, but I could see characteristics of all the other types in me as well. This book is full of insightful information and useful tips in avoiding going back to the old habits. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that has issues with maintaining weight loss.

I bought this book on the off chance it had something different to say, and it has. It could sound like a load of bunkum, but I read it with an open mind and decided to follow the 'instructions'. What can I say, it has helped me enormously, and my evening trips to the fridge are not a mad eating session anymore. Time will tell, but so far quite positive.

i found this an interesting read,i have put a couple of stone on in the last 2 yrs, not sure why,ive had tests at the doctors but to no avail,they think its age related and slowing of metabolism.i read this book once,put it down as my life got busy and didnt have time to follow the advice,i will re read it and try it as i still need to lose the weight,time will tell
