Book Description

9 Mar 2010
If Wisden is cricket's bible, then Cricket With Balls is its Satanic Verses. This is not a cricket book for the tea and crumpet set. You need to be a perverted sort of cricket fan to enjoy this. You'll find yourself immersed in the players' boudoir activities, cry at the Bryce McGain saga and will be asked to join Sehwagology. There are heroes, villains and tales of South African redemption that will make you question the very core of your being. The book has more cricket opinion than an orgy with Peter Roebuck, Navjot Sidhu, Arjuna Ranatunga and Geoffrey Boycott. Abducted directly from the blog cricketwithballs.com, this is the ultimate disrespective of the 2008 cricket year.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best cricket book I've read this week 10 July 2009
If you're after a gentle, balanced, unbiased view of the 2008 cricketing year, then I'd give this book a berth wider than Dwayne Leverock's underpants. If, however, you want bite, wit, irreverence, and enjoy a good rant then this is the book for you.

* Find out why Danni Minogue's nostrils played a part in India beating Australia.

* Feel your pulse quicken as you read `In Bed with Jacques Kallis'; everyone's favourite cricketing love god.

* Worry about the author's obsession with Nice Bryce McGain and Dirty Dirk Nannes

* Discover why Andrew Strauss is just the player you need to protect your daughter's virginity

Whether you're interested in Test cricket, English county cricket or the IPL you'll find something to disagree with within these pages; but for every fist you shake I guarantee you will stand up and applaud ten times more. It's cricket with balls and I loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Utter Genius 21 Dec 2009
I read this in a state of near trouser wetting mirth. Until I read In Bed with Jaques Kallis, at which point i had a little sick in my mouth. Ive read some filth in my life, but this makes you want to clean yourself in Bleach. Its Evil Genius.

If you want a review of 2008 from a fans view, instead of what the mainstream wants you to remember, then this book is for you.

i cant recomend it highly enough
