Disappointing... 16 Sep 2001
I was quite eager to see the x files calendar for 2002, as season 8 was the first to include new characters, and it was the best season for a long time. However, i was extremely disappointed with the artwork, and design. It is good, but it is a step down from the 2001 calendar. If you're an x files fan, or you cannot purchase it, by all means, get it. But if you can view it first, please do, as im quite sure many of you will be disappointed. There are only about five or six months with mulder, scully and doggett included.

Featuring images and dialogue from season 8 (and season 7's finale "Requiem") this calendar is more than just a date-keeper - it can also be used to track one of the best seasons in this wonderful show's history! This calendar features wonderful colour stills from episodes of the show which feature all our favourite characters: Mulder, Scully, Skinner, The Lone Gunmen, and of course the "new kid on the block" Agent John Doggett played by the masterful Robert Patrick! Like season eight, the episodes featured are mainly mythology ones, and generally come from the first two thirds of the season (which is a bit of a shame because the closing episodes of the season were spectacular). Episodes featured in this calendar are:

JAN - requiem FEB - patience MAR - the gift APR - roadrunners MAY - this is not happening JUN - without JUL - via negativa AUG - deadalive SEP - badlaa OCT - per manum NOV - salvage DEC - medussa

Buy this calendar now and relive all the great moments from season eight throughout 2002! An extra special reason to buy this calendar is because it will most likely be the last one to feature David Duchovny's character, Fox Mulder.

Not This Year... 3 Aug 2001
By Carol Christiansen - Published on Amazon.com
The photo choices this year are very disappointing. I won't purchase the 2002 X-File calendar because the unattractive fringe characters featured in most of the shots do not represent the show. I will paste classic Mulder/Scully photos on to a blank calender instead.

I'm sorry the publishers made such poor visual selections. I've had an X-file calender in my home and at work for 5 years. I usually brought at least 6 copies every year for myself and to give as gifts. I wouldn't inflict this version on a blind man.

I also feel that the publishers are trying to trick fans by using David Duchovny's likeness on the calendar cover. They are using the popularity of his character to sell an item that only features him in 2 of the 12 photos.

Amazon does a wonderful job describing items for sale and filing orders quickly. My sour view of The X-file calendar is not a reflection on Amazon, but a plea to the calendar designers to remember that Mulder and Scully are what most fans pay to see.

Thank you.

If your a Scully or Mulder follower......... 8 Sep 2001

Not recommended it doesn't have that many shots of them and my opininion this calender is not as good as past X-File calenders. But die-hard X-philers that are accepting the next generation X should buy it!

I'm quite disappointed in this year's calendar after seeing my friend's calendar from last year. I was expecting something of similar quality. However, aside from my shipper's annoyance at the low percentage of "important" moments represented by the images inside, I was also surprised by how the whole thing just looks like not as much effort went into it. The space on each page was not used nearly as well. The one redeeming thing was the month with a picture of Scully - I don't know if I've ever seen her looking as beautiful as she does in that shot. This is why the calendar gets 2 stars instead of one. David, why did you have to leave?????
