About the Author

David Langford has been intimately involved in the Discworld from the time THE COLOUR OF MAGIC, the first Discworld novel, was published. It is rumoured, in some quarters, that he knows even more about the Discworld and the strange denizens that people this marvellous world than the Creator himself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Discworld Revision Guide 6 Jan 2003
Format:Paperback
From the librarian's scarily realistic Anne Robinson wink to the probing interrogation-type question style, I found this book a lot more taxing than David Langford's earlier offerring 'The Unseen University Challenge'. The more challenging questions make the book very hard to put down, and even harder to 'step away from'. This is definately a read for all those who consider themselves to be experts on Mr Pratchett's multiverse. It's a good idea to have a Discworld reference library at hand! When you've read it you will easily be able to list the different varieties of swamp dragon and quote from Humbert Wolfe's forgotten 1930 verse novel 'The Uncelestial City'. If you were not already one, this book will turn you into a true Discworld Swat!

This was chosen as a Christmas present for a Discworld fan, and seemed to go down very well with the recipient.

Sir Terry is a superb story teller, that coupled with this kept my Pratchett worshiping son happy and quiet for hours, it also kept him off his mobile so well done.
