Product Description

Product Description

A tribute to the world's worst chat-up lines, this book is packed with some of the craziest, most corny and most shocking come-ons that'll ll make you cringe with embarrassment. Who could fail to recoil at lines such as 'Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again', or 'Hey, all those curves and me with no brakes!'? Can it possibly be true that men are still using the same terrible old opening lines to attract the fairer sex? Unfortunately, one read of The World's Stupidest Chat-Up Lines will sadly prove that even the lamest chat-up lines are still in everyday use. It is a tribute to the incompetence, impotence and general inefficacy of men and their inability to woo members of the opposite sex. Let's face it, there are no budding Shakespeares evident in this collection, but the book proves an uplifting read for any woman that's ever experienced at first-hand the disturbing ways of the wannabe Romeo. And men, if you ever want to woo your Juliet, this book is the last word on what not to do!

This is a fun book. I've got most of the "World's Stupidest..." series, and they're ALL fun. As you would expect from the title, this volume is full of some of the most hilariously bad chat-up lines I've ever read. Some of them are so incredibly bad, they end up becoming, by some Zen-like inversion, GOOD.

But I'm just heavily biased, because back in early 1996, I made a concerted attempt to produce the World's Worst Chat-Up Line to amuse fellow online Captioneers. And it is this: "I'm no doctor, but you look like you could do with a healthy dose of Vitamin ME." And a version of that line has made it into the book.

So, my own massive ego-trip aside, this book is really good for a laugh - and for defense, because there's a section on how to rebuff unwanted attention. Definitely worth adding to your library, for whatever reason.
