Don't be put off by the title, this book is relevant for everyone, not just business people. The book is about how to understand cultural differences and outlines sound principles towards this end that can be applied any where in the world. It's full of fascinating anecdotes, and I just loved it. The cover makes it look a little dry and it seems to be targeted at international business people, but it's much more than that. Whether travelling for business or pleasure, or even staying at home, we need to know these things! The world is too small these days to bury your head in the sand and not understand your neighbour.

Business libraries will find this an essential pick. 3 April 2008
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Why do business negotiations between people of different cultures often turn into disasters? Even between countries which seem similar, such communications often fail - and so here a model is presented for unlocking all world business cultures, based on a blend of knowledge about cultural information, behavior patterns, values, preferences and common areas of cultural difference affecting communication. Chapters offer a step-by-step survey of knowledge and cultural awareness covering behavior patterns and common communication challenges, and come from a cross-cultural consultant and media coach who provide experienced insights. Business libraries will find this an essential pick.
