This book is a must for any Escort enthusiast. It is a comprehensive record of the Escort in competition, from the Mk1 right up to the World Rally Car. There are loads of photo's throughout the book, mainly black & white but there are also two colour sections as well. At the back of the book there is a full list of the Escorts results & statistics. Brilliantly written as ever by Graham Robson. Easily the best Escort book available.

I bought what I thought was the 4th edition, published 2003 and covering all rally Escorts through until the final Cosworths in the 1990s. I received the second edition (published 1982, coverage stops at end of 1977). While this was well written and exhaustive in content, as Grahanm Robson's books always are, it is completely obsolete and pointless. My case was quickly resolved by the seller, but the problem was caused by Amazon's headings for used copies which did not distinguish between the editions. So read the small print in detail, and if possible ask the seller to confirm the edition before buying.
