Season one looks as if someone recorded a vcr playing his show on a tv with a digital camera then burned it to dvd. It is a little grainy. After 15 min you get intensely caught up in his energy and old school knowledge of wood characteristics and the lost art of wood manipulation with out power tools, the quality is forgotten! I have bought season 1,2,3 and 20, and will probably buy more when I finish these. P.S. My wife is a woodworker who makes bowls and spoons with out power tools by hand and asked for these for Christmas. I am the opposite, I love my planer, sanders and saws. She and Roy are cool!
