Book Description

13 Feb 2001
Time and again, God has sent Mary to earth to warn us about punishments to come. Here, the author details the history and prophecies surrounding Mary's major appearances, including: Our Lady of Guadalupe: Mexico 1531; Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal: Paris, France 1830; Our Lady of Lourdes: France 1858; Our Lady of the Rosary: Fatima, Portugal 1917; The Queen of Peace: Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina 1981-present. Many of Mary's messages foretold what are now elements of our past; the world wars, the rise of communism, the suffering of Pope John Paul II. They also foresee what is still to come: the chastisement, the Antichrist, and the Second Coming. To prepare for these events, Mary suggests praying, heeding her warnings, and following her advice -- "Let your only instrument always be love. By love turn everything into good which Satan desires to destroy and posses."

5.0 out of 5 stars The 'Woman' and the 'Dragon' vs Mankind 31 Aug 2012
This book comes as a welcome revelation. Although the Blessed Virgin Mary is widely known as the Mother of Jesus Christ (Son of God), her role as exposed in Lindsey's work goes way beyond what we habitually support. She is not only the revered holy person we admit to identify (particularly Catholics), but the supreme intermediary for intercession between God and Man. Her manifest concern in bringing over the Faithful in full communion with God their Creator is overwhelming. She exposes the miserable predicament which undermines our lives (look at all humankind's filth that plagues the world), and draws our attention to the proverbial 'wake-up call' as a Heaven-sent 'postman' would do.
Another important theme brought out by the author is the aspect of atheism in the role of world political orientations. The tribulations, misery and catastrophies that ahteist totalitarian governments and dictatorships have brought throughout the world in the 20th century (Russia, Asia, Balkans, Africa, besides Nazism and Fascism) are focussed upon in stark authenticity to reveal the horrors of violent religious suppression (predominantly Christian). These catastrophic global tragedies had all been foretold beforehand by the Blessed Virgin Mary in her various apparitions (individually described in the book)- but alas, little comprehended, and oftentimes reviled by the very Catholic Church itself.
The third factor: The Satanic sweep to appropriate and manipulate souls from the highest echelons of society, governments, philosophers, and pilot them to determine world chaos, church schisms, political and economic power, and suppression of general moral order. Satan, the prince of deceit and darkness, lost his place in the heavens, and has committed himself to bring humankind to perdition, from outright envy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Her Warnings, Our Struggles, and Inspiration 6 Feb 2001
By "r2reu" - Published on Amazon.com
Upon beginning this book I had anticipated information regards to the apparitions alone. Yet, the author has done extensive research in completing this wonderful literature which includes much, much more. I cried as I read the struggles of all the human races and Christianity; and, again because of Mary's enormous love to warn us of such atrocities. I have read many other Marian books and, this is among the elite of those titles. I would recomend The Woman and the Dragon to those who are seeking information about our Blessed Mother, and how her love for us exists for all time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Woman and the Dragon: Apparitions of Mary. 27 Jun 2002
By Ing. Ralph Hauke Moran - Published on Amazon.com
David Michael Lindsey has my gratitude for such an indepth study of the Blessed Virgin's historical apparitions. I have been a serious student of her life, work, and apparitions. Yet, Michael has allowed me to learn much more concerning real history in the making of the world for which I now have a much clearer perception of Her Work in the interest of humanity.
To awaken to one's own blindness, is a sad thing.
Michael's excellent literary skills makes for clarity in understanding what has not been understood. Many important details have come to light without which it is difficult to understand Her. It is a book you cannot put down at day's end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on apparitions of Mary and history during those times. 19 Nov 2013
By Marianne J. Keating - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This is one of the best books on the apparitions of Mary. Excellent source of information on the history of what was taking place in the world when the apparition took place. Great history book and one I go to when wanting to refresh my memory of what took place during a certain apparition. Also, I found there was so much history that I did not learn about attending public schools like about the French Revolution and other times when a great many people were persecuted for their faith just in the last 150 years even.
5.0 out of 5 stars Apparitions of the Virgin Mary 24 July 2010

Amazing book concerning the Marian apparitions of the 19th and 20th centuries concerning the messages delivered by Mary to chosen souls about possible punishments from God to men for their sins. I've read most books covering the appearances of Our Lady but this one has to be the best on the subject. The author gives some early history of the sufferings of the Roman Catholic Church from the Islam invasion to the Protestant Reformation and how the Catholic Church dealt with all these turmoils. Prophecies are explained as to not BS you about how God is offended by our sinfulness. Great reading and every appearance from Guadelupe to Medjugorje are all covered as well. Highly recommended and one book you'll not soon put down once you start reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mother Mary very much approves of the Holy Orders seventh sacrament of Catholic church 2 Mar 2013
By Kenneth Carlson - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I am a catholic, and I know that many people do not know that Martin Luther was very much against Jews and Luther started the protestant church. I learned that Mother Mary wants us to believe that Jesus is in the eucharist just like the Catholic church says. Mother Mary appeared in Fatima and was very accurate in that she believe in the seventh sacrament of the Catholic Church, which is holy orders. There are no convents no monasteries for the holy orders but in the Catholic church which Mother Mary approves.
