Product Description

Synopsis

She doesn't know who she is or where she came from. But she knows she's in love with the man who found her. Book II of the Legends of Mynos series. From the moment the Wolverine knight, Sebastian, finds the unconscious, badly beaten woman he nicknames "Jewel", all he wants to do is protect her-no matter the cost. Jewel wakes with no memory of who she is. The only clue to her identity is a lavender-colored jewel around her neck-a jewel which the dragon, Mynos, recognizes as the talisman made by his long-dead mate. Through the jewel's magic, they discover that the man who attacked Jewel is none other than her fiance, Lord Merric. Violent and ambitious, Merric was enraged when Jewel mysteriously vanished on the eve of their arranged marriage. Now, he'll do anything to force her to return. Even dark magic-or murder. Warning, this title contains the following: violence.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful!!!! 6 Jun 2011

I brought this book because it was $4 and it was $4 too much. The concept of the book is very cute, a girl with amnesia shows up beaten up and a knight finds and takes care of her and they fall in love. How cute right? Well wrong! I don't even know how I managed to finish reading this awful novel. It just kept going and going.... A lot of the novel was recapping what happened in the first novel (apparently this is the 2nd stand alone book in the series). There must have been 20 plots with endings right away so it never felt like I needed to keep reading the book. There are dragons and magic, which should be exciting if the author, knew how to incorporate it in to an exciting novel. This book was seriously awful. Please learn from my mistake and don't spend a dime on this novel.

I really enjoyed this book, and have read the whole series. The plot, for those who cannot use any imagination, could be a little harder, but all the same the books are great. It has been a while since I read this book, so sorry I can't give too many details.

From what I remember, one of the characters from the last book comes across a girl, who was badly beaten, who has insomnia. This book is the story of her recovery and how she figures out who she is and her past, all with the same tone from the other books.

Sorry I can't really remember all of it, I'm going to reread it. What I do remember is that I really enjoyed the book, so much so that I went on to read the rest of the series, and am waiting for more.

I should have given 4 stars, but I gave 5 to balance out Mrs. Butthurt. The only things I could say about the books are that they have some slight grammatical errors (but what book doesn't??) and also, do not get "book 0" or basically the one called The Crystal of Mynos. That one is the introductory material, and is about 25 pages in total, and overall is unnecessary and pointless.

Sorry to post so little, I'm just defending this book, because it really is great, even if some haters don't agree.
