If Andrew WKs discography could be mapped into 24 hours, 'I Get Wet' would 7pm-9pm, the start of a fun party when everyones starting to get drunk. On the other hand 'The Wolf' is the period late into the night, were all drunk, sat on the floor, talking rubbish, getting emotional. This is why its such a great album, for me it creates the feeling of a night out with your mates especially the last 4 tracks. The feeling he generates is unbelievable, making you feel so happy and positive and also realise what life is all about. Well thats how a person who is drunk at 2am would say - and its true. You dont need a thesaurus to say how u feel, just say it. And thats what he does, its a fine line between genius and stupid but he lands in the genius zone.

Absolutely superb. Before I'd heard this album I was an Andrew W.K. sceptic...but now, what can I say?! Imagine a cross between Bruce Springsteen, Meatloaf, Devin Townsend and Bill & Ted's Wyld Stallions....this album is all that and a lot more. I haven't ENJOYED an album this much in a long while. Every time I spin this album it puts a smile on my face - and not an 'ironic' smile either - this is the real deal. All hail Andrew W.K.!

After the fantastic "I Get Wet", you wonder whether Andrew could live up to all the expectations heaped on his second full-length album. The good news is that he has carried on from where "I Get Wet" left off - party rock that brings a smile to your face.
He has re-worked a couple of songs from the "girl's own juice" ep, which immediately gives him a strong foundation for the album. It rocks along in typical AWK fashion, all raucous shouting, tinny piano and high speed rhythms. In a break from the norm, he even manages to slot in a Bon Jovi-esque love ballad, which works well, and reveals his sensitive side.
Its a refreshing change from a lot of the angst that litters the charts, and the message is loud and clear - having fun with music is not a crime!!!
Between AWK and The Darkness, the future of stadium rock looks to be in safe hands!

FInally, the day has arrived for the brand new album from the living legend himself Andrew WK. Clad in his trademark white clothing, this masterpiece of modern metal picks up exactly where the previous album, I Get Wet, left off (literally, the opening notes to "Victory Strikes Again" are the closing notes to "Don't Stop Living In The Red"). The party theme continues its out of control train journey into the unknown with "Long Live The Party". An anthem in its way. Despite its simple lyrics, the heart is in the place it should be. "Tear It Up" gives a big "SCREW YOU!" to everybody who doubted that he would one-day become the legend of the party-metal circuit. Not only hell-bent on writting cutting edge new material, Andrew also reworks "Don't Ever Stop The Noise" (from his 2000 "Girl's Own Juice" EP) to become "The Song", and "Make Sex" (from the same 2000 EP) has also been given a slight rework. "Totally Stupid" is Andrew's self portrait of himself, showing that he can also look at himself and laugh. ANd so comes the new era...the Andrew WK LOVE SONG ("Really In Love"). A heartfelt piece off real love,in a parralel universise to his classic "She Is Beautifal", WHICH IS BY NO MEANS A BAD THING. He closes the album in a classic montage summing up, not only his love for his life, but been given the oppertunity to make the music he loves, but also been given the chance to make people's lives, such as my own, better and more enjoyable. All hail the king of modern metal. No matter how often the Linkin Parks or Limp Bizkits of this world are thrown into the limelight, their talent is limited, whereas Andrew WK can surpass himself by making music from the heart, and not for his wallet.

While I didn't find this album to be as ridiculously energetic and fun as I Get Wet, that's like saying a Velociraptor flying a helicopter isn't as awesome as a Tyrannosaurus Rex in a fighter jet. In other words, it still kicks a preposterous amount of ass, it just does so in a slightly different way, and isn't going quite as fast.
