I searched all over for this play so that I can put on the production at my school. This was a great purchase and just what I was looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Wiz: Adapted from "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" 11 April 2010

This product offers a clear clean script of the musical. I wish the seller though offered a picture of the item when trying to purchase it instead of now while writing a review. Overal, the script was received in great condition, practically new. I didn't need to receive another script once I was casted into the staged show because my director is using the same script. This was a great advantage to have the right script to prepare for my audition. Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars WHOSE FANTASY? WHOSE MYTHOLOGY? 23 April 2012
By T. Johnson - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
THE WIZ. Another mythical fantasy story not written or produced by any people from the African Diaspora.

It's an interesting spin on the The Wizard of Oz of course which was later turned into an "URBAN WORLD OF JUNK" for the big screen. So, that all being said it was a wonderful concept, but still questionable on the part of whose fantasy and whose mythology?

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT! 9 Feb 2000
By "snlkidsinhall" - Published on
I am starring in "The Wiz" at this time and it's a great, lively musical. I am The Yellow Brick Road, an Oz Citizen and The Head Winged Monkey. It's so cool. The music is awesome and the whole thing is just jivin'.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! 20 Jan 2002
By Katie - Published on
I played the Yellow Brick Road in a version of The Wiz, and it's an awesome show. I will never forget it. "Ease on Down the Road" and "Slide Some Oil to Me" are probably the best songs. There is no show as creative and imaginative as The Wiz.
