VERY Outdated 27 April 2011
By David M. Morse - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased the Kindle edition, Like the other reviewer said, this book does have good information. However, it is in much need for an update. For instance, the 'recent vintages reviews' are from 1985, and the book refers to the Syrah grape originating from Yugoslavia. While the information about the permitted grapes and general information about the areas still seems correct, other information like the price of wines from the region, acreage, etc. are outdated. For example, he states that the wines of the Southern Rhone, especially from Chateauneuf du Pape are relatively inexpensive and great value for the money! So, yes it has some good information, but is in serious need of an update.
