5.0 out of 5 stars Great book of poetry by a master. 6 Nov 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I studied Yeats during my A-Level lit and loved him then! This was a bit of a trip down memory lane and well worth it. These early poems are steeped in Irish myth and legend and therefore historically of value as well as being beautiful, lyrical and aesthetically lovely!
A must for Yeats and Irish Literature fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 21 Jun 2011
By James Smith - Published on Amazon.com

Excellent edition of one of Yeats most important volumes. No errors that I've seen. But you might want to note that this appears to be taken from the first edition and does not include changes that Yeats made later in his life. You could say that's a negative -- or you could say it's a plus.

I like the writings of WB Yeats, so that is why I chose this book. I am always satisfied with his works, and hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.

Aging, death, farewells. Yeats' language is so simple, yet he says so much.

But most great poets are, so you must be a poetry lover or student to love these poems. They are good. Especially the Title one and I would recommend this book. If you can understand poetry.
