This mini-edition (approx 13 x 11cm) is a re-telling of the fairytale of the girl whose brothers were turned into swans, and who had to weave coats from stinging nettles in silence to break the spell. There are 5 beautiful full page illustrations by Jane Ray, in her typical rich deep colours and gold, and each page of text has a different decorated border. I couldn't say how authentic the story is - it's not quite the version I remember from childhood, but I can't say my version was any more traditional.
A lovely little book.
