Product Description

From the Author

This is the first in a series about five sisters.
When I started writing about Diana, the eldest of the five Westcott girls and their most unusual governess, Miss Tibbles, I realized that I loved this family so much I did not want to stop writing about them. The result? Each sister will have her own book. If you like THE WICKED GROOM, look for THE WIDOWED BRIDE, coming December 1996.A brief summary of this book would read: "When the Duke of Berenford becomes betrothed to a woman he has never seen, what better way to catch a glimpse of his betrothed than by masquerading as a groom who most definitely does NOT know his place?"

Awful, in so many ways..... 2 Sep 2009
By Emlyn54 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Although this book was written many years ago (1996), I just got around to reading it. The only positive thing I can say about it is, the premise is interesting. But that said, it is a premise that requires a much longer book in order to do it justice, or a much more talented writer. As it stands, it is merely laughably unbelievable.

Add to that poor plot development, not one single likeable character (not to mention one whose behavior made any sense at all), and endless ridiculous and completely contrived misunderstandings, and you have this mess masquerading as a book.

Enough said.
