Sadly this dvd does not contain the video for the single, instead containing some live footage of one song. This proved a great disappointment for me, not for the loss of the Kate Moss video, but the continuing poor marketing skills of the record label. Ever since the management slapped a cease and desist order on John Peel for playing too much of the new album I have hoped and prayed the White Stripes would wake up and move on to a less corporate label. And just to slap Mr Peel in the face again, the b-sides include a version of "I'm Finding It Harder To Be A Gentleman" he will no doubt not be allowed the play! Nonetheless, a good single, but poorly packaged and marketed.

Whilst the quality of the music involved is beyond doubt I'd like to actually review the disc itself.
Firstly potential buyers should be aware that the first two tracks on this DVD single are audio only (no promotional video as stated in the amazon review) with the only video being on the third track which is of a live performance. It also doesn't make use of the extra audio resolution available to DVD either.
Overall a wasted opportunity.
Buy the CD single instead.

First of all, this does not have the Kate Moss video on it.
It has three tracks.
The first two, I just don't know and Lafayette Blues are DVD audio only.
The third is a video of a live version of Black Math, (Filmed at the Masonic Temple, Detroit) which looks and sounds superb.
This last track is worth buying it for alone.

The only problem I have found with this CD, despite being a good song, is they released it on DVD without the Video for the main single. Which is really rather odd.

This single is truly great for two reasons.. firstly it has a fantastic video with the lovely Kate Moss pole dancing to the track and it's bound to feature heavily in the next round of music video awards due. The track itself is a blistering cover of the Sandy Shaw classic and with Jack's great vocal and crunching guitar combined with Meg's thumping drum beat, the White Stripes really make one their own. B-sides are a mixed bunch, with Jack covering another of his lesser-known friends to give them a bit more exposure to the market. As with Brendan Benson, this usually works so we'll probably hear from Blanche in the coming months! As usual, here we have another slice of greatness from the 'Stripes and I really advise you consider it as an addition to your collection.
