for those who love white rooms

I love rooms that are in shades of white or cream, although am not disciplined enough to stick to one color. However, for those of you who are, you'll enjoy this book and the pictures in it. The book also shows how to use white/cream as a base and then accent color as a lovely foil. There are pictures of classic, country, cottage and modern styles. A great resource for lovers of white rooms!

After reading/purchasing over ten books on white-on-white interiors, I can honestly say that this book is my least favorite. Compared to Victoria's "At Home With White" and Stephanie Hoppen's "White on White: Creating Elegant Rooms with Classic Whites" and her other book with a similar title: "White on White: Creating Elegant Rooms With Shades of White", I can truly say that this book looks amateurish and incomplete. Maybe if had read THIS book before the others, I would be impressed. But now that I've read the others first, then reading this one last, I realize that I've wasted my time and money. If you're impressed with mediocrity, maybe this will please you. Otherwise, it's a JOKE. Don't bother.

I have been devoted to creating spaces in my home that delight and comfort me, my family and our guests for many years. I have also collected 5 4-inch binder photos of vignettes and items that I love. "The White House" is a wonderful reference for me, as I learn how to use, purchase and gather items in shades of white --- from window treatments to accessories to large furniture to flooring. It is well written with great photos and is my favorite reference for dreaming and buying.
