A recipe for lifelong health! 27 Jun 2007
By Marybeth - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book was excellent! The book gives a recipe for health, describes the hunza in detail, their diet and the way they live. It also contains interesting and revealing studies related to the diet....more added proof that eating this way will alleviate disease and sickness. The Hunza returned everything back to the soil, this keeping it rich in nutrients. Out of curiosity, we tested our soil where our garden is and found it to be totally depleted in everything! This is the result of constantly taking from the soil and not returning anything to it. We have started adding compost and nutrients and have already noticed a difference in this year's garden.

Read this book and be healthier!

Interesting read but seems incomplete 29 Dec 2008
By J. Brown - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book was very interesting to read but not necessarily for what it said about the Hunza. It had a lot of interesting information about what was known about diet, nutrition, exercise, and healthy living in general from back in the 1930s. A lot of what was known back then is just as relevant today which makes one wonder how we've gone so far down the path of ill health in the US today. The reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 was that I don't feel it really went into as much depth as it should about the way the Hunza lived.
Amazing book 30 April 2013

This book describes an amazing way of life that borders on the unbelievable. In light of todays health crises and diet disaster we need to take every thing this book shares and seriously evaluate our own situation with a willingness to make necessary changes.

I Think this book could be more informative about the Hunza then it is. I have read better books on the Hunza.
